I am here, inside a night
that is not here and silent
in the blooming silence
of a stone and mine. I
am here to get dark
with the darkening of the crispy night
and blackened as of a cradle.
I am here and tie the hands over the knees,
the knees close to the heart,
inside the circle of the eyes
the moon circle until I get back to be a child.
