Ah, What a Relief

Here is more, you whisper

and on your palms reveal

a path of roots and bones,

that clang and rale in mine

but as I blow on them, they play.

Shines just ahead of us the light;

and it refracts your words,

their rhythm pouring

in pools of shadows

you and I have not reflected on.

Ah! what a relief, my friend

to renew my coming every time;

and by your winds engulfed

inspire a gust of freedom

that starts where you begin

And here and now

we breathe all light and sound

and sighing a shell of silence

for us to swear upon

we move towards the newness of the day.
